The drive from Tok to Gakona has some spectacular view. The Winnebaigis broke another alternator belt (this was the original) at a convenient spot to take a nature walk. We hiked to the top of a ridge and were not disappointed with the view. Further on down the highway we traveled along a mountain range of snow capped mountains, what a awesome sight. The snow caps rose above the clouds making it seem like the mountain was one with the sky.

A shot from the ridge just above where we repaired the Winnebaigis.

Another picture of the valley...

The pictures does not fully capture the vivid color contrasts between the mountain and sky, it was simply spectacular. Soft white cotton clouds floating above the rugged mountains painted with shades of green and gray.

Some scenic shots along the highway.

The snow capped mountains hiding among the clouds.

A jagged snowcapped mountain from across the valley.

A spectacular shot of the mountain calmly sleeping amongst the clouds. The reduced quality doesn't show the soft powder like snowcap.
