Though the trip to Fairbanks was on the original itinerary, over the course of the trip, we had discussed skipping Fairbanks in order to do a Glacier Cruise. The shortened miserable backcountry hiking experience in Denali allowed us to get a few days ahead of schedule, we decided to head up to Fairbanks. We still haven't decided if we are going to spend two days here and relax before heading to Anchorage, we are playing that by ear.

The Norlite Campground had everything we needed to dry out from our backcountry hike, laundry facilities and some strong afternoon sunlight. Not much can be said about the actual facilities, but the site was level.

With a sign like that you know this is a hilton!!!
